Whether it’s formal or festive the holidays bring wonderful colors and a welcoming spirit. OFFICIAL PARADE

Crescent City sparkles with colors and sounds of the Easter Parade. The event, steeped in tradition and cultural charm, captures the essence of community spirit and celebration. Everything starts at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel Ballroom at 11:00 am. There you will find a hat contest, silent auction, and local music and entertainment. After is the main event-The Easter Parade through French Quarter. Residents and visitors alike eagerly line the streets to view floats, marching bands, and costumed locals. Just a few steps over from us here at Rathbone Mansions, you’ll be close enough to the festivities to celebrate all day.

HOLIDAY MASS

In New Orleans, Easter Mass is a significant event that holds great cultural and religious importance. The city's diverse population comes together to observe with many churches and cathedrals holding special services. While it is a sacred holiday, don’t be surprised to see more than a few people dressed in their very finest Sunday best! St Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square will be holding Mass in it’s beautiful and historic location.

Venture to the French Quarter and witness the EXTRA colorful Gay Easter Parade, where locals and visitors alike come together to showcase their elaborate bonnets and costumes. The 23rd Annual Official Gay Easter Parade takes place on Sunday at 4pm, starting at Armstrong Park just a few streets over from us here at Rathbone Mansions. It’s always a warm and welcoming spectacle, so wear your bunny ears and have fun!
